Kage Maru (影丸 Kagemaru (Perfect Shadow?) is a playable character in the Virtua Fighter series and a playable character in Project X Zone 2 teamed up with Akira Yuki.

A ninja and master of jujitsu from the village of Hagakure.
In search of his mother, Tsuki Kage, who was captured by J6 (Judgement 6), he joined a fighting tournament they hosted. In the fourth tournament he was finally reunited with his mother, but she had been turned into the cyborg weapon, Dural.
After seeing her twisted form and realizing there was nothing he could do to save her, the heartbroken Kage Maru destroyed her. However, it turned out that Dural wasn't actually Tsuki Kage at all, but merely a mass-produced cyborg.
At that point, he learned of a new scheme by J6 involving Dural, and he vowed to continue to fight in the hopes of saving his mother and stopping J6's plans.
Although he normally conceals his emotions behind a face of stone, he is a warm-hearted person who tears up when he thinks about his mother.
Sega Heroes
In Sega Heroes, Kage-Maru is a yellow legendary support hero which can be unlocked after 65/15 shards are collected and was added in January 2020. He is playable in Campaign, Arena, Events and Survival.
His Max Skill is Hagaryu which requires you 10 mana. Deals physical damage, hits the enemy and inflicts/stun for 3 turns. Also creates a random star tile.
His Star Skill is Fusen Renyaku which requires you to match a yellow star tile/super yellow star tile. Deals physical damage, inflicts accuracy down for 4 turns and Kage-Maru gains Elusive for 3 turns. Triggering a Super Star Tile will also inflict bleed for 4 turns.
His Passive Skill is HageKure Ninja where at the start of each wave and he becomes Elusive for 3 turns. Whilst Elusive, he has bonus crit rating and when he becomes Elusive, then converts all star tiles to super star tiles.

Kage is a shinobi that hails from the Hagakure Ninja Clan. Trained by his father, the previous Kage Maru, Kage is a master of Hagakure Ryu Jujutsu (葉隠流柔術; Concealed Leaf style Jujutsu). When his mother was taken by J6, a shadowy terrorist organization, Kage has made it his life's mission to find her and save her.
