Overview

"Arisu in Wonderland" is the fourth chapter and ninth overall chapter in Project X Zone. This is where Reiji and Xiaomu join the party. Their adversaries, Saya, Dokugozu, and Dokumezu make their first appearance in battle. Some of Ouma's minions, the red Kamaitachi and Aku Tengus first appear here.

Synopsis

A woman and her minions scan Shibuya, wondering if she'll finish before things get complicated. But nothing's ever that simple, as our heroes enter the area. Chun-Li recognizes the woman as Saya, an agent of Ouma. Kogoro explains that the whole district of Shibuya is full of monsters and dimensional rifts, and it got closed off when it got too far out of control, which is why it's considered a "closed city".

Saya then explains Ouma's goals, and its members are supernatural creatures, herself included since she's a werefox. She then decides to take them out (but not before Frank gets a photo-op). While fighting her troops, her top flunkies, Dokumezu & Dokugozu, show up and decide to give their guests the "business".

Just then, two more people make their entrance: Reiji Arisu and Xiaomu, agents of Shinra. After jumping down from the tower, they immediately get to work. After getting the gist of the situation, they decide to take care of the Ouma gang first.

After taking her on, Saya retreats for the time being, knowing that another fight between Shinra and Ouma will begin. Kogoro intended to contact Shinra to talk to them about the stolen Portalstone.

• The Name is a reference to Lewis Carol's Alice in Wonderland Novel.
• Every enemy in this chapter is a member of Ouma.
• This is the only time where Reiji & Xiaomu are unlockable pairs rather than being available by default.
• This is the first chapter where multiple bosses appear.
  • This is also the first chapter where all enemies also appear in the sequel.
