Crosspedia Entry[]
Hayato Kanzaki, a member of the special "Star Gladiators" unit, while under the control of his second personality.
The result of the awakening of the "genotype" implanted by Bilstein in Hayato's body when he was a boy, he has now been transformed into a berserker who attacks all foes without mercy.
Black Hayato intended to completely erase all traces of his original personality and completely take over Hayato's body. However, some traces of Hayato still remain, mentally resisting Black's control and sometimes even coming to the surface.
Gameplay[]
Project X Zone 2[]
Black Hayato first appears in Chapter 15: Echoes in Eternity alongside a couple of Vectors, before June Lin Milliam appears having followed him. Jun explains to the heroes that she and Hayato were chasing some arch-criminals where he came in contact with AIDA, which most likely brought forth the Black Hayato personality. Despite fighting for control from Hayato, Black Hayato fights the heroes and flees after he is defeated.
Black Hayato appears again in Chapter 23: The Shade of the Night, where he is shown to have full control over Hayato's body after receiving help from Tong Pooh, who orders him to destroy the Dragonturtle Mk. I. After he is defeated though, he starts to lose control over his body and flees.
Black Hayato's third appearance is in Chapter 29: The True Dragon Fist, where this time he is put under M. Bison's control with his Psycho Power. After he is defeated, the Psycho Power wears off, but Black Hayato retreats again to keep control over Hayato's body.
Black Hayato's fourth appearance is in Chapter 37: Cypher Punk, where he was found and recruited by Sigma and Tong Pooh after they found him. Hayato manages to reach out to June for help, suggesting the Psycho Power had weakened Black Hayato's control. Black Hayato, however, refuses and asks Sigma for help, who promises to share the Sigma Virus with him. After he is defeated, Hayato regains control long enough to beg June to kill him before Black Hayato takes it back and retreats.
Black Hayato's final appearance is in Chapter 39: So Long, My Love, where the heroes believe is their final opportunity to free Hayato now that Tong Pooh and M. Bison are gone. Upon his defeat, Black Hayato's personality completely vanishes, allowing Hayato to regain control of his body. He is taken on board Sylphie's shop where he is placed in a healing capsule. He is returned home alongside June at the end of the story.
